New Cabinet Visits Hoima City Stadium On Albertine Region Tour
Her Excellency the Vice President and the Rt. Honourable Prime Minister have today led the Cabinet of Uganda on a tour of the Albertine Region. Their first stop was the Hoima City Stadium Complex, where they were amazed by the beauty and modernity of the multi-sport, multi-use facility. Led by Board Chairperson Ambrose Tashobya, Board Members Cecilia Anyakoit and Moses Anyii Omara, General Secretary Dr Bernard Patrick Ogwel, as well Top Management and the Engineering crew, the team from National Council of Sports NCS) took the cabinet ministers, permanent secretaries, a team from the AFCON Secretariat, a team from the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, and other dignitaries on a guided tour of the state-of-the-art facility. The Honourable Minister of State for Education and Sports in charge of Sports, Hon. Peter Ogwang, was able to explain the functionality of the different components of the facility, as well show them the ongoing adjustments being made to stadium as requested by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) ahead of the PAMOJA 2027 AFCON finals. The cabinet entourage then hit the road to visit the oil wells in the Albertine, as well as Kabalega International Airport.
