WEEK REVIEW: SHE CRANES SET FOR THIRD APPEARANCE AT THE 2019 NETBALL WORLD CUP AS UGANDA CLAIMS TWO MEDALS AT WORLD UNIVERSITY MEET
NETBALL
In 1979, Uganda made its first appearance at the Netball World Cup and finished in 12th position, thereafter the She Cranes qualified for the 2015 edition in Sydney, Australia and finished in 8th position. Uganda is now set to make its 3rd appearance at the 15th Netball World Cup hosted in Liverpool, England from the 12th to 21st July 2019.
Uganda's opening game is against hosts and Commonwealth Games champions England in Group D today, Friday 12th July 2019 at 08:00pm.

UNIVERSITY GAMES
The Summer World University Games are underway in Napoli, Italy from the 03rd to 14th July 2019 and Uganda already has two medals under its sleeve, a Silver medal by Shida Leni in the women's 400m event and a Bronze medal in the women's 800m event.
RUGBY
The Uganda Rugby Cranes already registered a 16-13 win in the first leg of the Elgon Cup in Kisumu, Kenya against Kenya;s Simba. The team will be looking to seal this year's Elgon Cup when they take on the Simbas in the second leg on Saturday, 13th July 2019 at 4.30pm Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. Prior to this, the Lady Cranes will play Kenya Lioness at 2:00pm at the same venue.
